Monkeys & Friends–4/25/12 @ Hub Soma

Mike's monkey is Don Draper falling like in the opening credits.

I got new "vintage" buttons at the 5 & Dime at Laurel Village. Neato.

Ted becoming a monkey.

Courtney w/ the monkey that we collaborated on. I don't know why she isn't thrilled.

Felt!

Chelsea and Jono being very focused.

Michael w/ his monkey that he made very fast!

I held my 7th monkey class this week.  We ate m&m’s and made monkeys.  Chelsea, a new student, was also an SF native, and said she had made a lot of dolls out of cloth when she was in high school.  I wish she’d brought them.  Jono and Teddy, returning students, almost completed their monkeys.  They are very dedicated monkey men.

My mom’s monkey is in the process of getting a wardrobe makeover.  She is thinking of making him pants so he doesn’t look so indecent.

Succulent terrarium masters recap!

Last night 14 terrarium makers embarked on an incredible Skillshare journey at the Hub SOMA!  They made terrariums with rocks, soil, creatures, and succulent plants.  Everyone’s terrarium was unique and beautiful.  I was super impressed with my first class of students and I hope to teach it again!  I might also be teaching a living wall class soon, too!
