Julia is such an amazing teacher! This was my third time attending one of her classes, and she went out of her way to bring me a special pair of socks for a more unique monkey. She also brought M&M’s which was really perfect for keeping my energy up throughout the class. I didn’t have time to finish this monkey in class, so she sent me home with all the right tools so I could finish him on my own time. Julia is very skilled in the art of sock monkey making (and many other crafty things!), she is very patient, and she does a great job of meeting students on their skill level and working with them to complete their monkey.  – Molly, sock monkey student

Julia is a wonderful teacher! She kept the class warm, light, and fun. You can tell she gets genuine pleasure from teaching others and that enthusiasm definitely carries over to the overall atmosphere of the class. She also made herself very available to her students for follow-ups, outside class tips, etc. Heartily endorsed!  – Jono, sock monkey student

The class was amazing, a friendly laid back atmosphere of learning and fun. Didn’t know anyone going into it, but immediately felt welcomed by Julia and fellow classmates. The best part of this class is that you get to leave with a beautiful big glass terrarium full of 5-8 unique and cool plants which will grow old with you. They sell tiny one-plant terrariums for $50 at a store near my house, and the one I left with was larger, more beautiful, and made exactly how I wanted it. Julia was great at prompting creative energy, while offering knowledge and humor during the planting process. Could not recommend this class more, was a ton of fun, and I feel completely ready to explore some of my own succulent projects now. Looking forward to taking any project based classes Julia teaches in the future.  – William, terrarium student

Julia was a great teacher; I would go to any of her other classes. She gave us freedom to do what we wanted with our terrarium, but also gave us some best practices like not crowded too much and a handy 1 pager of how to care for our terrariums.  – Diane, terrarium student

I had a GREAT time in this class. Julia is so upbeat and encouraging. It also relieves a lot of stress after a loooong day at work. You’ll also come away being a sock monkey maker expert. :) Julia made everything super easy and fun to learn.  – Jennie, sock monkey student

Julia was a true gem and such an encouraging teacher. Even when we started to question our own sock monkey craftiness, she gave us great feedback and answered all of our questions. She also made me feel right at home with the other students and encouraged us to come up with unique sock monkey ideas to make them special for us. I could tell she had mad passion for sock monkeys which only inspired me even more and I went home with confidence in my sock monkey creating ability. I will always remember my first class and my daughter will have a keepsake she will treasure for a lifetime.  – Thaomy, sock monkey student

I walked in to my first sock monkey making class with rudimentary sewing skills, wondering if I would feel intimidated by the class or my teacher. I should’ve known based on the silliness of the project that I had nothing to worry about. Julia was patient, informative, and funny, and the other monkey makers were very nice people. Looking forward to the next class.  – Ted, sock monkey student

Julia led a wonderful hands on workshop with succulents! There was a great variety of supplies on hand, with Julia giving some thoughtful suggestions of how we could best create our own terrariums. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and highly recommend taking a class that is led by Julia!  – Danny, terrarium student
